In May 2013 we were back on pasture with 325 layers, three mobile hen houses, one acre of electric fencing and a Great Pyrenees  livestock guardian dog.  It was a hard winter for the last couple months, and the chickens are now enjoying their time sunning and dusting themselves.  Worms, sprouts of fresh grass, and whatever else they can dig up is back into their regular diet.
